Venturing into this enchanting winter wonderland a few days before Christmas was like stepping into a magical snow globe! Even on a foggy day, the town unfolded its charm with snowy delights. Picture this: old Swiss chalets nestled amidst snow-covered pine trees, pure magic! It was a whimsical experience, turning an ordinary day into a fairy tale in this picturesque snowy haven.
Nice well organized and comfortable lift. This is a gate to Stoos and beautiful hike to Fronalstock and Klingenstock. Amazing Swiss nature is around you. Very easy for walks and chill out. Nice family place with typical Swiss restaurants around. I recommend to try this train as it is the steepest track in the world. I ride is not long, but it will reward you with magnificent views. The whole area is amazing and great for hikes.
Stoos is undoubtedly one of Switzerland's best-kept secrets. Nestled in serene surroundings, this charming village offers a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of tourist crowds. What sets Stoos apart is its untouched, uncommercialized atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a leisurely and offbeat experience. The tranquility and blissfulness of the village are truly unparalleled.
Nice little village which is possible to reach only through the Stoosbahn - worlds steepest funicular. On top here there a quite a few cafes, a visitor information hub. Many options for walking. The best option is to tale the cable car to Fronalpstock to take in amazing views of the Vierwaldstatersee.
Great experience followed by the hike on the peaks
