Forget about Interlaken. Take a free bus 101 from Interlaken West for about 20 minutes (Beatenberg Tourismus issue a guest card) to beautiful Beatenberg area. Expensive lake-view, check! Real Swiss farm life, check! Friendly and helpful Beatenberg Tourismus staffs and bus driver, check! Boating, hiking, biking… so many things to do in non-winter season. Someone just said Beatenberg is paradise. Indeed, Beatenberg is a hidden gem in Interlaken area.
We took the Justistal Alpine Cheese Tour booked through the Tourismus Center. One of the best tours ever and the cheese was fantastic.
Swiss tourist info centers rock. We lived in numerous info center parking lots one year while carcamping...best of times.
