Visiting St. Beatus-Höhlen was a really lovely experience for our family. We reached the bottom by bus and then walked up to the cave entrance. The walk itself was beautiful. On one side were the rocky caves, and on the other side was the calm, blue lake. As we moved ahead, the views kept getting more and more stunning. Inside the caves, it feels a little cold, so carrying a light jacket is a good idea. The rock formations are truly amazing, and what makes them even more special is the beautiful lighting inside. The soft lights are placed thoughtfully, highlighting the shapes of the stalactites and stalagmites and creating a magical atmosphere. It feels calm, mysterious, and very peaceful. The path inside is very well made — safe, easy to walk on, and suitable for both kids and adults. The information boards along the way also make it a good learning experience. The café has a wonderful view and good food options, perfect for a relaxing break. We had planned this as a day outing with the kids, and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. The small park area and little surprises at different levels made the visit even more special. It was a perfect mix of nature, fun, and family time. 🌿

That’s cave is a great experience and worth one visit. This can be an educational also for kids. There are various spots in the cave that provide information about the history and science behind the cave and different types of lime residue formation. This can be a great experience for kids. Reaching this place is also convenient but with lesser bus frequency. If you are traveling by car, they have limited space for parking and they charge flat 8 CHF (as of Oct 2025). You can either pay the parking by card, cash or use EasyPark app.

Amazing experience. Nice and cool inside the cave. It goes very deep into the mountain. If you are tall, you’ll need to stoop a little through many sections. Food is pretty pricey, but that’s everywhere in Switzerland really. A 500ml bottle of still water was 5 CHF.

Very popular natural caves. Beautiful setting and spectacular natural environment. Possibility to book online. Easy access by local busses from Interlaken or Thun. Restaurant and museum complete the offer. Could be crowded, so time your visit accordingly.

Very nice cave, about 2 km long. Great place for visit. My tips: 1) Because there is cold inside, better to bring a jacket, no matter how hot it is outside. 2) The best way to arrive at 10:00 by car or by bus, because there are very few parking spots available and less people will be inside. 3) Leave your bag and huge things in the car, because before entering to the cave there are a 1 km upstairs.

There's also a cafe 10 meters above the street. Great views. Even higher is Restaurant Stein & Sein, also great views. These do not require a ticket to the caves.
