I can now update my Google review, as a lot has improved at STI Thun in the last six months! Thanks to the change in management and leadership, things have gotten much better and friendlier! Therefore, it deserves a much higher rating. 😁 The chauffeur team desperately needs some work; there are still some unfriendly drivers who would be better off with other jobs. But there have also been massive improvements! Thank you very much for your efforts and the transport! 😃 Big praise also to the dispatch team; they're doing a fantastic job! 💯
Dear passengers, pedestrians, and road users, please be on the lookout for the bus driver on the Thun-Schwanden route. The bus driver should have his license revoked before anyone gets hurt. On December 15, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the bus driver damaged the side of my car near Tschingel. Luckily, my daughter wasn't in her car seat at the time. I got out of the car, but the bus driver fled the scene. I assumed he would contact me – damage can be settled between the parties involved. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I have a witness who was on the bus and saw both the accident and the hit-and-run. I reported the accident to the police, who then contacted STI. I was told to get a repair estimate from a garage and send it in. STI would cover the cost of the repairs. I took care of that and reported it to the STI (Swiss Transport Authority). Suddenly, the bus driver sees no fault and is ignoring everything. I've already had the 1,700 Swiss franc damage repaired and paid for it myself. The STI refuses to cover the damage. So, everyone: Be careful and always call the police immediately in case of an accident.
Bus drivers are out on the road in all kinds of weather and road conditions. They're often under time pressure to keep to the schedule in order to catch their train connections. Unfortunately, there are always some who give top marks. They only see the mistake and not the bigger picture. They often act out of anger or frustration. I've already given several reviews. The worst rating was a 3.
Today, December 23rd, course 24. Lots of fresh snow and a calm, level-headed driver. Thank you very much. I'm not currently skiing myself, but I used to drive the bus. These weather conditions aren't easy. So, simply a compliment and heartfelt thanks.
The bus has driven right past me twice this week. I was at the bus stop waiting for it, and when it arrived, it just drove right past the stop! I'm starting to find this really annoying because I've been late twice now thanks to STI!
