This was our first time at this restaurant but definitely not the last. We enjoyed delicious meal followed by hot chocolate and affogato on the terrace. Victoria who was serving us was really lovely and made the entire experience delightful. We will be back :)
Fabulous view and terrace. Service very good. Food just okay.
Just a nostalgic memory of what Restaurant Raten used to be when ran by its owner. The food quality is quite a bit down, the service was rude (and it took 45 min to get kids their very standardly poor schnitzel with pommes). we used to love going there for the location, excellent food - and the kids friendly service (ever so rare in Switzerland). The location remains excellent, the playground for the time being too, the food and the service are unfortunately very average to bad.
Very, very slow service. They promise 19 minutes wait time for the menu, but it's more like 1h 19 min. The food is good, the prices are average Swiss. The view is nice.
We had a wonderful experience thanks to our waitress, Viktoria. She was incredibly patient and caring, especially with our baby, which made our meal so much more relaxed and enjoyable. She took the time to help us with the menu and toys for the kids, . Thank you, Viktoria for being so kind to us
05/02/2026 We came to this restaurant for some sunshine and decided to have a lunch. The service was unfortunately very slow, forgetful and disappointing. The food, when it arrived was warm but by the time the waitress brought the cutlery, our meal had gone cold! As for the food, this was very average, Schnitzel and chips, it isn’t hard to make but it was dry and quite tasteless. The Alpler macaroni looked factory made with factory made fried onions and factory made apple sauce. The only thing that redeems this restaurant is the nice terrace and stunning views. At best I would return for just a coffee or a hot chocolate, certainly not for the food.
