We tried the cordon bleu, which tasted quite authentic. Personally, the cheese flavour was a bit too strong for my liking, but the portion and overall taste were pretty good. The steak was nicely grilled and quite decent as well. But the star of the meal was definitely the fries — absolutely delicious!
This was one of our first meals in Switzerland. We got the meatballs, which were great. It had mustard in the sauce, which was unique. The sweet potatoes were OK not to my liking, but that might just be a local difference in how they serve them
To start, I rarely will rate below a 2 stars, but this was not it. I was highly anticipating this restaurant because my paragliding guide, who has lived here forever, recommended it, but Interlaken surely has a few better Swiss food options and this is not one of them. If you care about the actual food, skip this place. I care about food far more than service, and this place was a huge disappointment. I ordered the beef stew, which my waitress recommended, and the meat was unbearably dry and chewy, not even the gravy could save it. Seriously, it was the worst-quality beef I can remember having at a restaurant. The Pinot Noir was excellent, but that was the only highlight. Thad a reservation for 9 and showed up early at 8:45. On the phone they had said the kitchen closed at 9:30, but when I arrived no one attended my table until 8:58, when the waitress rushed over and told me the kitchen closes at 9. Meanwhile, the table next to me placed their order at 9:15 without issue. There was no silverware on the table, and I was never checked on once after my food arrived, which was very frustrating. I had a reservation for 9 and showed up early at 8:45. We went for a date night dinner. Loved the food Initially we were a bit skeptical about the menu but was totally proven wrong. Everything was cooked right. Even the fried chicken was amazing Will come back again next time we are in interlaken
Perfectly located in the center of Oldtown Unterseen with wonderful selection of Swiss food and beverage. Our group especially love the house ice tea, rostï, and my personal favorite is the spinach salad! Staff were friendly and playful - gave us some good laugh!
Spectacular! They offer traditional regional dishes and local craft beer. I absolutely loved the food! The girl who served me was incredibly kind, and the atmosphere is lovely. Plus, it’s pet-friendly, which is a great bonus!
