You can tell that Thorsten is a passionate optician. This is evident not only from the size of his personal eyeglass collection, which he told me about ;) The technical equipment in his "eye test lab" is also on par with an ophthalmologist's office. The measurement and consultation were excellent. He suggested a special lens (two zones for near and far vision) that is a very good compromise between standard and progressive lenses and was the perfect solution for me at this time. Both Swiss and international options were presented for the lenses and frames. I think it's a very well-balanced mix of supporting local designers and manufacturers while remaining open to other options. That's why I chose a Swiss frame with German lenses. They don't try to sell you the most expensive lenses, but only those that are truly suitable for your needs. I'm certainly a rather picky customer when it comes to choosing frames, but Thorsten wasn't fazed by that and ordered several more frames for me to look at, including some from brands he doesn't normally carry. I'm very grateful for this dedicated service and extremely happy with the result. Finally, the glasses were individually adjusted and fit perfectly. The personal interaction is always very pleasant, and the prices are fair as well. A truly exceptional optician whom I can recommend without reservation.
