We had dinner here tonight on our honeymoon as we are also staying at the hotel. Our dinners have been hit or miss so far throughout our trip but we both agree this was one of the best meals we’ve had in Switzerland. The watermelon tataki was such a fun starter, and we appreciated the mix of both traditional and more adventurous dishes. Most of all, they went out of their way to make it special for us - (the first to do so!) and served us an amazing chocolate fondue with fruit that was amazing and absolutely the highlight of the meal. Rooting for them to add it to their regular menu!! We hope our server & the chef know how much we appreciated our experience & our meal. Lastly - extremely reasonably priced for Switzerland!
We loved our experience at this restaurant. We stayed at the hotel that is connected and out of the four nights in town, we ate here three times. We ventured off on night two for some diversity but ended up coming right back here. The service is attentive but not overbearing. Nobody is trying to oversell you on anything. The menu items are very progressive and we loved that they pushed the envelope. Our favorites were the watermelon tataki and the spring salad with pea sorbet. Probably not the place if you’re looking for something very traditional but other tables got the fondue and they seemed to love it. Will return to this restaurant and this hotel in the future.
Casual dining in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. We started with cocktails in the bar then moved on to the dining room. Service was great and the drinks and food were excellent. If it is still in the menu when you visit we highly recommend the venison! Wine list is extensive and if you are not familiar with Swiss wines they’ll give you some good recommendations. So stop in, enjoy a drink at the bar in front of the fireplace and enjoy a good meal while being taken care of by genuinely warm and engaging servers and bartenders. Make a reservation!!!!
Nice location. Starters were bad, no taste and extremely small portions. Service was extremely slow and not very polite. a mistake happened with the desserts. Overall portions small but price is ok.
I was quite disappointed with Restaurant Goldlöckchen. As a Swiss guest, I felt out of place since the staff didn’t speak German and service was slow. My venison osso buco was dry and chewy, missing the root vegetables, and the sauce was just decoration. For the high prices, the quality and care were lacking — it seems more focused on international tourists than authentic dining.
We had the most wonderful time at the restaurant in our first night here. The food was delicious, so many options! The atmosphere was cozy and perfect. Thank you!
