BMW 340i, 120,000 km. Initial contact via WhatsApp was very friendly. Unfortunately, the owner wasn't present for the car viewing due to personal reasons, which wasn't a problem for me. After the test drive and price negotiation, the junior owner had to clarify the matter. The next day, I already had the go-ahead, and the car was offered to me for €1,000 less (€32,500). I agreed under the pretext that the service and roadworthiness test (MFK) still needed to be done. So far, so good. However, during and after collection, the following issues were not resolved to my satisfaction: The road tax sticker wasn't installed. The tank was completely empty; we had to fill up on-site (about a quarter tank, and a road tax sticker should be mandatory in this price range, in my opinion). The car wasn't properly cleaned. The service wasn't performed at a BMW dealership; only the engine oil and brake fluid were changed, but all service intervals were reset to the maximum (the service history in the on-board computer wasn't recorded and is now incomplete or has been tampered with). I would expect more from a "professional" who deals in cars for a living. What a shame about such a beautiful vehicle.
I made an appointment over the phone to view the car. The person I spoke to wasn't there, and they didn't seem interested in selling the car. And the car looked better in the photos than it did when I viewed it. Just a junk dealer.
