Very friendly and helpful staff. The collection point is very well laid out. The price for disposal of items that require payment is completely fair. 👌👍 …
Plenty of space; you can easily come every few months with a car full of waste and don't need to bundle paper, cardboard, etc. Regarding pricing: - Minimum charges are applied (bulky waste 10 CHF), which are not explained (even on-site); only prices per kilogram are listed. - Contrary to the 2020 waste disposal calendar for Wolhusen, which the local waste management company seems to co-publish, a fee is charged for cardboard. - I personally find the green waste rates outrageously high.
Update: Unfortunately, the friendliness has changed quite a bit. You get rudely yelled at – as you used to at municipal collection points. And that means that, unfortunately, the hodgepodge is out, and it's recycled at FREY. The hall is covered, and in the summer, no damn wasps in all the containers like in Malters or Ebikon. Open containers where you can quickly dispose of everything. Improvements could include: - Eliminating cardboard costs - Snapping at customers: It can't be my problem if X says "Bags belong in the paper" and Y says "Bags belong in the cardboard." The same goes for the newly installed cardboard containers. I always disposed of cardboard with the "big pile." A normal notice would have done the trick, but instead I received a rather rude reprimand. - Plastic recycling - still not possible...
I disposed of construction debris and green waste there and had to pay exorbitantly high fees, 5.5 times higher than at all other disposal sites. These are outrageous prices, an absolute disgrace. I will never dispose of anything there again. I wouldn't recommend it, or at least ask for a price quote before unloading!
Unloading is fast, but unfortunately they can't afford a fork extension to unload from one side. Be prepared to open both sides!!!
Using a shredder is definitely not the best idea. I don't even want to know what all is in that dust. Customers are breathing it in, too. Then they have to pay for cardboard and then wash their cars. Outrageous!
