As a photographer and filmmaker, it is important to me that if I have a broken camera, it is repaired quickly, even though I have several cameras lying around. I took my camera with the defective viewfinder to the support team in Wallisellen. Matthias and his team repaired it quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend the Canon support desk. Thank you very much.

I want to enter two repair orders (600mm lens and R5ii) through the Swiss Canon website. I just spent an hour and without success. I cannot enter information in fields that are required, so basically I am stuck. When attempting to change an old phone number it does not take the new one but rather tells me to contact an administrator. On the German website, the forms Du and Sie are randomly mixed. Also, the letters with Umlaut are all garbled up. Not a good feeling with regards to the professionalism of the Canon service processes. Seriously, I have seldom experienced a website that is so awfully designed. I tried to contact the service department by phone to get a shipping label for a product under the extended 3-year Canon warranty. First the main number on their website. They told me to call another number which I did. I chose to speak with a representative in English, upon which I was forwarded to a Fernch speaking person who asked me to call again. After a wait of 15 minutes I finally got through and was able to place my return. Surprisingly, I received an email within 15 minutes requesting details so that they could process the order. I immediately sent the information and expected a fast response. Three days later I had not received the shipping label yet so I asked about the status. I was told that the current work load is very high and they apologized for the delay. A few hours later, I received the feedback that I had not submitted a sales receipt which is necessary for Canon to process the order. This really doesn’t make much sense since I had sent them the extended warranty which I had received from Canon haalf a year ago. For clarification… in order to receive the extended warranty, I already sent Canon the sales receipt once before. So the process begins again… sent them the information and another several day wait. I finally received the label and was able to send it. In the email Canon sends, they include a link to check on the update of the service request. Unfortunately, the link points to a “Page not found” page. I sent an email within a request for information as after a week there is no feedback yet. Still waiting… Addendum… Finally the lens has been repaired. I received an email with the link to the relevant Canon website in order to pay for the repair in order for them to send it back. But… when I clicked on the Pay button, it disappeared. Tried to refresh and retry, but the same thing happened every time. Both on my iPhone and also on my Mac. Also when I clicked on the Contact Me button, it just disappeared. Fortunately they have a field where you can add comments and questions. Unfortunately this is entirely ignored. After sleeping over the vanishing payment button issue for a night and wasting another day, I thought of changing the browser. Voila - Chrome allowed me to enter my payment information. Now I am waiting for the lens. To add insult to injury - My camera repair was finished last week on Wednesday. Upon requesting information about expected delivery on the following Tuesday (today), I was informed that it had shipped on Monday and that due to customs clearance, I can expect it to be delivered next week. My 600mm was fixed last week and I assume it will be on the same shipment. First from Canon Germany to Canon Switzerland from where it will be sent to my home address. Approximately two weeks delivery lead time. It is unbelievable that a company such as Canon can offer such an awful experience. I love my Canon equipment and want Canon to be successful. But if I were to consider renewing, unfortunately I have come to the conclusion that I would go with a different brand.

I really don't know what you're doing wrong?! I have the Canon CPS number from Switzerland; they're super friendly and everything always works perfectly! I've used the CPS service twice, and both times it was completely stress-free! The replacement lens arrives promptly, and Canon doesn't pressure you to send it back immediately; that can take 2-3 days! If you use it professionally, then CPS Platinum shouldn't be an issue, and all other private hobby photographers, join the club and take advantage of the benefits! Thank you, Canon, you're great! <3

Canon is unable to repair or replace a new printer, purchased in mid-December 2025, which has had a scanning error from the start. Purchased over nine weeks ago. No response. And no matter what you write in the reviews here, nobody at Canon reads them :-(((
