Estábamos en un evento donde Starfood tenía un puesto de comida. Observamos a una empleada que iba al baño con guantes desechables y luego regresaba al stand sin lavarse las manos y todavía con los mismos guantes. Al principio, una confrontación directa sobre nuestras preocupaciones de higiene no tuvo éxito (ella dijo que las cambiaría más tarde). Sólo después de la intervención de otras personas se quitó los guantes. Y este mismo empleado luego fue detrás del puesto de comida preparando las hamburguesas. La higiene es primordial en la manipulación de alimentos y ese comportamiento es completamente inaceptable. Nuestro intento de contactar con la empresa quedó sin respuesta.
Starfood currently operates a food stand at the Zug Magic water feature on the lake promenade. The food quality is simply poor and falls far short of their usual standards. Nachos for 9 CHF, of course, come from a bag and are served with a mere 1.5 tablespoons of sauce. Bottled drinks are served from the refrigerator, but that doesn't mean they're chilled. My beer was warm. A request for an exchange was met with an unfriendly refusal, and no refund was offered. The staff spoke a mix of German and English, but neither was sufficiently consistent or understandable. As a result, even with just a few customers ordering, a chaotic queue formed, leading to an even more chaotic food service.

WARNING! Starfood charges a 1.- deposit on the displayed price for their wristband payment system at the festival (I experienced this at Openair St. Gallen 2022) without providing a deposit token or informing me as a customer. They simply deduct a higher price. Unfortunately, I only noticed this after the festival when I checked my transactions online. Sure, 1 franc isn't much money for one person; but when you imagine how much money that adds up to over an entire festival... It's outrageous! I will never buy anything from Starfood again and advise everyone else against it.
