Content de te revoir! Nous avons apprécié quelques visites le week-end dernier et sommes ravis de voir le restaurant rouvrir. Au début, nous étions inquiets que ce soit une déception car nous avions lu les critiques ici partageant de manière transparente la triste nouvelle selon laquelle le chef était gravement malade. Cependant, nous avons vraiment apprécié les deux visites ! Nous avons bien mangé - et les portions sont certainement généreuses et c'était tellement délicieux que j'ai dû me forcer à arrêter de manger sinon je n'aurais pas bougé de tout l'après-midi ! Le service est excellent et sympathique - également très personnel et attentionné. Les enfants ont reçu de la crème supplémentaire sur leur gâteau au chocolat et le propriétaire leur a fourni des cartes Jass pour les divertir pendant que nous dégustions une bière ! Vraiment heureux et j'ai déjà hâte de faire de nombreuses autres visites et d'essayer davantage le menu.
Charmant restaurant de montagne et café avec une belle terrasse et de superbes vues. Proche de l'arrêt de bus.
Very nice meal here at the newly renovated restaurant, food was very delicious and owners very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend it and not just for the views!

Definitely my favorite restaurant on Axalp. The restrant lies at around 1535 metres above Brienz on the southern shore of the lake. It can be reached by post bus or car in 35 minutes from Brienz. It has very spectacular views of the surrounding mountain range and Lake Brienz below. From spring to autumn, Axalp is also an ideal location for hiking and climbing activities. A woodcarving trail leads to the tiny deep green Hinterburgseeli lake. It is scattered by sculptures carved out of tree trunks by local woodcarvers. The idea for trail project was born after a terrible storm hit in 1999 and wreaked havoc on the mountainside and many trees where fulled. Carvers and sculptors still continue to add to the art along the trail. Experience the creation of works of art while hiking along the beautiful trail from restaurant Axalp Stübli to the Hinterburgsee lake. There are now some what 80 carvings along the woodcarving trail with new ones being added at the end of July each year. Also be sure to check back in after your bike and order a Jungfrau beer wich is the perfect topping to the end of your hike? Don't let it stop you in winter thou.
