Through a roundabout route (or rather, via the towing service), the company Jak. Bösch was recommended to me. So I can find something positive in the breakdown, as I've now found a garage I can trust for my Defender.
I had my horse trailer inspected by the company Jak. Bösch and unfortunately had a bad experience. A flat fee of CHF 480.00 was charged for "preparing/ready the trailer" (which is reasonable in itself), plus an additional CHF 100.00 for loading the trailer (which, according to the invoice, was already included in the flat fee). After I inquired about this, the additional CHF 100.00 for loading was only reduced to CHF 50.00. Why this charge wasn't removed entirely remains a mystery to me. CHF 710.00 to inspect a trailer that required absolutely no work other than replacing a reflector seems excessive. My request to investigate why the trailer was constantly leaking was also dismissed with the response that "investigating this more closely would take too much time and wouldn't be worthwhile." The promised callback to look into the problem never happened.
