Malheureusement, les filets de perche provenaient du congélateur. Mais le vin blanc était merveilleusement buvable. La salade était très bonne.

Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical about how a cozy country inn could be transformed into a gourmet gem... so the positive surprise on my first visit after the reopening was all the greater! The Golden Star welcomes guests with its familiar inn charm. Lovingly renovated down to the last detail and subtly redesigned, the inn has lost none of its coziness and warmth – quite the opposite. It's by no means the coldly styled place you find in many well-known gourmet temples. Quite the opposite: you immediately feel comfortable and at home in a warm and inviting atmosphere, which is further enhanced by the warm welcome from the Golden Star team. We were all more than eager to try the food, as the current Michelin-starred chef, Erik Schröter, has an outstanding reputation. The six-course menu we opted for was indeed a true sensory spectacle! A real feast for the eyes and the palate. Here, you can see and taste the exceptional quality of the cuisine in every course – from the amuse-bouche to the homemade chocolates and petit fours as the crowning finale. The wine list also pleasantly surprised me. You won't find any overpriced prestige wines here, but instead a well-balanced selection at reasonable prices. My conclusion: Visiting the Gasthof zum Goldenen Sternen was a truly delightful and surprising experience, one I will gladly repeat and highly recommend.
New owner and new chef. My expectations were no longer exceeded. The price-performance ratio is no longer right. We will be spending our money elsewhere in the future.
