Un charmant mémorial dédié au héros populaire (mythologique) suisse Arnold Winkelried qui a permis à ses collègues de percer les défenses ennemies contre les piques lors de la bataille de Sempach en 1386.
Un bel Hommage.
J'adore l'idée de venir ici pour voir un monument érigé à la mémoire de quelqu'un qui n'a peut-être jamais existé. C'est un grand moment de l'histoire de la Suisse. Alors j'ajoute ma voix à toutes les autres. Vive le héros Winkelried ! C'est beau. 😀
A must-see for anyone interested in Swiss history. The chapel is very impressive, and you learn much more about the Battle of Sempach than you would in a classroom.
Knowing where you come from helps you know where you're going. It was interesting to return with my children, now adults, and for them to rediscover a part of their history. I combined the visit with a walk in Sempach and a meal at a restaurant. It was very pleasant.
A very beautiful chapel with magnificent murals. The monument is located directly on the busy main road, which is a bit of a shame.
