Un lieu incontournable à Thoune. Les vues sur le château sont exquises et vous pouvez même monter dans les tours ! Grande histoire et excellente expérience. Les gérants/employés étaient également très serviables et gentils. De plus, le prix d’entrée est inclus dans le Swiss Travel Pass.

Le château de Thoune est un incontournable lors de la visite de la ville ! Les affichages et les informations sont bien organisés, ce qui permet de tout explorer facilement en seulement 2 à 3 heures. Il existe également des sections interactives, comme l'exposition sur l'architecture en bois dans le grenier et sur le toit, ainsi que la fascinante collection d'armures et d'armes anciennes. Le château est bien entretenu, facile à naviguer et offre un bon équilibre entre histoire et expérience.

The basic castle tour was interesting, but I was disappointed to find that there were virtually no period furnishings in any of the rooms. The audio tour aid added tremendously to the understanding of the castle history. Look closely, though, to find the signs which indicate when to use the audio aid. I recommend paying the extra fee to use it. I enjoyed the views from the tower. I paid extra for the special exhibit, which I didn't feel was worth the fee; skip it unless you are interested in forms of medieval punishment.

Thun castle does not match the vibe of other castles of Switzerland like Gruyère castle and Chillion castle. The castle is poor in terms of content and exhibits. Not much to explore inside. The staff is very friendly and there are free locker rooms available to keep your luggage. The best part was the top level of Thun castle from where you get 4 different panoramic views of Thun city and Lake Thun. If you are visiting Thun city then definitely visit this place otherwise skip it. Entry to Thun castle is free with Swiss Travel Pass.

The view from above was nice. We had a walk and took some pictures. It’s worth a visit if you’re passing by the city!
