Torneremo volentieri in futuro. Cordiali saluti, T.Gwerder
I don't understand the bad reviews. I had my dress altered for a wedding, and everything went perfectly. It was done very quickly, the workmanship was excellent, and the service was excellent! I would go there again!
Overpriced - Unprofessional - Unfriendly I brought two bathrobes to the sewing studio for embroidery as a gift. The employee couldn't give me any precise information. We agreed that the owner would contact me by email. This happened quickly; I received a picture of the sample and a price quote. I found the quoted price of CHF 119 for five letters (one Mrs, one Mr) expensive, but I was unaware of the price and, since my mother had recommended the shop, I agreed. When I went to pick up the bathrobes, I was dissatisfied with the work. The owner wasn't there again. I left the bathrobes and contacted the owner by phone. Even on the phone, her manner was very unfriendly. When I expressed my concerns, she replied that she only had a small machine that couldn't handle embroidery orders as easily as larger machines. If the price had been correspondingly lower and I had been informed of this beforehand, it would have been acceptable. At the end of the conversation, I told her I would come by the following Saturday. This was because it had been mentioned that I no longer wanted the bathrobes, so she could resell them. Once there, she wouldn't let either me or my partner finish speaking. She explained that her employee had made a mistake, that she was only allowed to accept bathrobes with a breast pocket for embroidery. However, I only learned this on the day itself, not beforehand. She wouldn't listen to my suggestion of a compromise, not even after I told her that I had taken new bathrobes to another shop and they had charged me 50 CHF for perfect work. She accused me of buying cheap goods and called me "one of those customers who simply don't want to pay." If that were the case, I would hardly have driven from the Bernese Oberland to Bülach three times! When she'd finished the conversation, she stuffed the bathrobes into the bag and tossed it over the counter at me, turned her attention to a new customer, and left us standing there without a word. I went to this store on the recommendation of a long-time customer. Neither of us will ever go there again!
I'm not happy at all. The work was done well, but the price was outrageous! Unfortunately, it's my own fault, as I didn't insist on a quote... the CHF 100 deposit was a pittance compared to the final price of CHF 644.70. The red linen trousers (I brought the fabric myself) aren't complicated; they're for medieval dress... but that still meant 8 hours of work at CHF 80.00 per hour for both pairs... it would be very customer-friendly to handle things a bit more professionally, especially considering the final price, or to inform the customer beforehand – particularly since I did ask! I recommend that anyone having clothes made or alterations done here insist on a quote. But hey – now I have a pair of CHF 320 medieval trousers for each of my children – otherwise, we wouldn't wear such expensive clothes... Ruinous!!! That was my last order with this shop. *These were* hours of work. And unfortunately I had to give one star - which this store doesn't deserve (...)
