Hotel Ristorante Morgarten: sono venuto per il cibo, sono rimasto per la vista, me ne sono andato chiedendomi se dovessi trasferirmi definitivamente. Anche la mia forchetta sembrava più felice qui.

EVITARE: cameriera estremamente scortese. Ho mangiato qui più volte il gelato con mia nonna. Il gelato è buonissimo e mia nonna dà sempre una mancia molto generosa. Così sono venuto qui per incontrare il mio amico inglese che era venuto a trovarmi per mostrargli la bellissima Svizzera e per offrirgli un delizioso gelato. Avevo con me un grande zaino con dei vestiti che stavo facendo per donare a Ünterageri. Dovevo andare in bagno perché avevo mangiato le pere. La cameriera era estremamente scortese quando mi vide usare il bagno. A causa della sua estrema maleducazione ho deciso che non era una buona rappresentazione della cordialità svizzera e di andare altrove, per non tornare mai più in questo posto e per raccontare anche a mia nonna e ai miei amici questo incontro molto scortese con la cameriera. E sì, era esattamente questo ristorante, non un altro. La cameriera aveva circa 40-50 anni, era magra, alta e aveva i capelli corti. Mi ha mostrato un salvadanaio verde e mi ha detto di metterci dei soldi e ti ha detto ad alta voce che avevo usato il bagno. Buona fortuna con la tua scusa che non era il tuo ristorante. EVITARE: cameriera estremamente scortese.

Abbiamo trovato questo piccolo hotel con i piedi per terra, molto confortevole e totalmente rilassante. Avevamo una vista sul lago dalla nostra camera ed era semplicemente incredibile. La camera era abbastanza spaziosa e il balcone era un vantaggio. Tutto era molto pulito. …

A friend and I were camping on the other side of the lake. We were in need of a late breakfast meal. We were greeted warmly even though I believe that the kitchen was closed, or at least was in the process of doing so. The server asked what we wanted and even with our language barrier (we live in Colorado, USA) she and the cook made sure that we were served exactly what we had asked for- and it was absolutely delicious. I loved the atmosphere, with a group of elderly local gentlemen enjoying themselves in this beautiful environment. We were so grateful. It was my first time visiting Switzerland, and I was very impressed with how friendly everyone was. I want to bring my husband to stay at this hotel for an extended visit in the future to explore the area more.

Stopped there on a Sunday evening at 20:00 and kindly asked to use the restroom before anything else since it was an emergency, they refused and asked us to drive further to the public toilet . The restaurant was empty, not a single guest there. We left in an hurry to find a toilet and didn’t even consider staying for dinner. I wished they would have been kinder to a woman in need .

The staff member made a disparaging face behind my partner's back after he very politely asked for the menu. She then actually threw my payment card onto the table dismissively when it didn't work (another card worked fine). I'm not sure whether she dislikes foreigners or all customers, but hospitality isn't her calling in life. It's a shame because the flammkuchen was lovely and the view was amazing.
