Eravamo ad un evento in cui Starfood aveva uno stand gastronomico. Abbiamo osservato un dipendente che andava in bagno indossando guanti monouso, poi tornava allo stand senza lavarsi le mani e indossava ancora gli stessi guanti. Inizialmente, un confronto diretto sulle nostre preoccupazioni igieniche non ha avuto successo (ha detto che le avrebbe modificate in seguito). Solo dopo l'intervento di altre persone si è tolta i guanti. E questo stesso dipendente è poi andato dietro lo stand gastronomico a preparare gli hamburger. L’igiene è fondamentale nella manipolazione degli alimenti e tale comportamento è del tutto inaccettabile. Il nostro tentativo di contattare l'azienda è rimasto senza risposta.
Starfood currently operates a food stand at the Zug Magic water feature on the lake promenade. The food quality is simply poor and falls far short of their usual standards. Nachos for 9 CHF, of course, come from a bag and are served with a mere 1.5 tablespoons of sauce. Bottled drinks are served from the refrigerator, but that doesn't mean they're chilled. My beer was warm. A request for an exchange was met with an unfriendly refusal, and no refund was offered. The staff spoke a mix of German and English, but neither was sufficiently consistent or understandable. As a result, even with just a few customers ordering, a chaotic queue formed, leading to an even more chaotic food service.

WARNING! Starfood charges a 1.- deposit on the displayed price for their wristband payment system at the festival (I experienced this at Openair St. Gallen 2022) without providing a deposit token or informing me as a customer. They simply deduct a higher price. Unfortunately, I only noticed this after the festival when I checked my transactions online. Sure, 1 franc isn't much money for one person; but when you imagine how much money that adds up to over an entire festival... It's outrageous! I will never buy anything from Starfood again and advise everyone else against it.
