We have been using our new SCM DMC90 RR 135 wide belt sander with planer unit for several months now and have gained the following insights and experiences: One step saved: The combination of wide belt sander and planer unit allows several work steps to be completed in a single pass. This saves time and increases efficiency. Less material lifting: Since the material needs to be lifted less often, physical strain is reduced, which is particularly advantageous when working with heavy wood. High material removal rate in hardwood: The SCM DMC90 RR 135 can remove an impressive 5 mm per pass in hardwoods such as oak or ash. Widest planer: With a width of 1320 mm (compared to the standard 600 mm), this machine offers a generous working width. Belt cleaning for extended service life: Cleaning the sanding belts increases their lifespan fourfold. This is an important measure for cost savings and increased efficiency. Fewer blade changes: Although the machine is used several times a day, the blades only need to be changed twice a year. This speaks to the quality of the SCM DMC90 RR 135. Overall, we are very satisfied with the SCM DMC90 RR 135 and receive excellent support from SCM Switzerland.
