I asked very politely and normally whether I could rent a machine as a private individual. They responded in a very rude and loud tone, almost like "we don't do that," and hung up. I would never rent anything here, let alone work with this person, just because of their tone. You could explain why things are this way in a normal way so that even uninformed people like me understand, or work towards a mutual solution; that would be customer-oriented. But the way this person spoke was so condescending, I wouldn't even want to work for these people.
