…and suddenly it was there 😍 Did we have to wait long for it? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely! A fantastic, friendly start-up company. We're super happy with the flap and deliberately chose Flappie because, compared to others, it simply offers the most advantages for us. For us, the wait was definitely worth it. We're Team Flappie – if you can say that 🥰
We were fortunate enough to participate in the test program and have been equipped with a Flappie prototype ever since. The technology is truly fantastic and exactly meets our expectations. We had a terrible experience with KittyFlap beforehand, and the Flappie team has managed to dispel any pessimism we might have had! Initially, the AI missed the occasional mouse, but thanks to ongoing updates, this inconvenience was quickly resolved. Now, no prey even makes it into the house. The videos Flappie makes, as well as Flappie TV, are great and provide a tremendous amount of entertainment. To everyone waiting for Flappie: it's worth the wait! =) Thank you, Flappie team, for your innovative work and your support, and I'm looking forward to everything that's yet to come!!!
Order placed in May 2023. Delivery was supposed to be at the end of the year. Instead, we were repeatedly put off. So far, so frustrating, but to a certain extent still understandable. In August 2025, we were finally informed that 100 Flappies – strictly according to order date – had been shipped to those who had ordered before July 2023. This included us, but we received nothing. We were further informed that 50 more Flappies would be shipped at the end of August 2025 to those who had ordered before August 2023, and that these customers had already been notified. We were neither informed nor did we receive a Flappie. Finally, we were told that all further pre-orders were to go into mass production at the end of September 2025. When we inquired in mid-August as to why we hadn't received a Flappie, even though our order date of May 2023 should have placed us among the first 100, and certainly among the next 50: no response. If our order had been forgotten, they could/should have at least responded. After that – of course – still no Flappie and no further information until the beginning of November 2025, when they said the certification was complete and mass production could begin in December 2025. So, business as usual. It's clear that a startup can fail; you have to accept that. But instead of communicating this openly, they strung us along for years, treated us like complete idiots, and ignored us. We could have done without this extra hassle. Since we were supposedly supposed to have received a Flappie long ago, but haven't, we no longer believe that any Flappies were ever delivered or will ever be delivered. Addendum: Dear Flappie Team, I wrote to [email protected] on August 10, 2025, and sent the order and payment confirmation a day later. And do the math: 5 of the first 100 Flappies went to customers with specific conditions, but you can add 5 plus 50 even without a degree in mathematics. So, if at least 55 of the supposedly 150 people who were supposed to have received their Flappies before us, even though they ordered later, I don't know which assumption is more annoying: that nothing was delivered at all, or that dozens of people were delivered beforehand and that no mistake is admitted even when asked.
