Hervorragender Service, ehrlich gesagt der beste, den ich je erlebt habe. Die Gastfreundschaft des Teams wirkt aufrichtig und leidenschaftlich, in keiner Weise erzwungen. Das Essen ist absolut köstlich, wunderschön präsentiert und mit großer Sorgfalt und Qualität klar zubereitet. Abgerundet wird das alles durch eine moderne und dennoch gemütliche Atmosphäre, in der Sie sich schon beim Eintreten wohlfühlen. Ein Ort, an den Sie auf jeden Fall zurückkommen möchten.

Wir hatten eine Last-Minute-Anfrage und waren verzweifelt auf der Suche nach dem richtigen Ort für die Feier unserer standesamtlichen Trauung. Glücklicherweise kennen wir Leena und die Shoko Bar seit Beginn ihrer Reise und sie hat uns freundlicherweise angeboten, unser kleines Festmahl zu organisieren. Ich habe immer von einem romantischen Hochzeitsbrunch geträumt und Leena hat meine Träume wahr gemacht: Wir hatten die perfekte Hochzeitstorte, leckeres Essen und einzigartige Getränke (wie man es von Shoko immer erwarten kann). Ich hatte eine sehr einfache, aber elegante Vorstellung von unserer Tischdekoration und Leena hat mich sofort überzeugt, sie hat dafür gesorgt, dass alles genau so war, wie ich es wollte. Und das war es auch. Wir hatten einen so schönen Moment, etwas, an das wir uns für den Rest unseres Lebens erinnern werden, und das ist alles dank Leena und ihrem tollen Personal!!

Wir lieben diesen Ort absolut! Es ist einer unserer Lieblingsorte, die wir mit Freunden und Familie besuchen. Das Essen ist immer köstlich, wunderschön präsentiert und voller Geschmack. A Hidden Gem in Lachen I ’ve been to Shoko Brunch & Bar a few times now, and each visit has been nothing short of outstanding. From the food and drinks to the warm, inviting ambience, everything here feels thoughtfully crafted and delivered with genuine passion. It’s easily one of my absolute favorite spots in Switzerland. Savoury dishes • Shakshuka: If I had to pick one dish that truly stole my heart, it would be this. Perfectly spiced, deeply flavorful, and served with toasted sourdough bread that tastes almost otherworldly. This dish alone makes me want to return again and again! Unfortunately, I was so excited to eat it that I didn’t even take a photo. • Avo Sunrise: Fresh, vibrant, and simply delicious. Comforting yet light – a true brunch classic, done right. Sweet dishes • Choco Berry Dream: Mind-blowingly good! After trying this, I realized I had never truly experienced what proper Belgian waffles are supposed to taste like. Worth a trip from Zurich just for this dessert! • White Chocolate with Orange & Wild Flowers Tart: A unique creation with a sweet, fragrant profile – delicate, surprising, and absolutely memorable. Beverages One of the things I appreciate most is the attention to quality, even in drinks. They offer four different milk alternatives – a small but thoughtful detail that makes a big difference. • Chai Latte: Far more authentic than the overly sweet versions you usually find in Zurich. Herbal, spiced, and perfectly balanced – a true comfort in a cup. • Matcha Latte: Very tasty and not too sweet! What really impressed me is that they know exactly which milk alternative goes best with the matcha flavour without overshadowing it. It’s a perfect example of the restaurant’s commitment to making sure every cup tastes outstanding. • Fresh Lemon & Ginger Tea: Truly the best I’ve ever had. Packed with fresh ginger chunks and the right amount of lemon, it’s both healing and invigorating. The atmosphere & the heart behind it The ambience is cozy yet stylish, with a warmth that makes you want to linger. On top of that, the entire place is spotlessly clean, and it’s clear that great care is taken not only with the food and service but with every corner of the restaurant. Even the bathroom carries that same thoughtful touch – from the pristine cleanliness to the wonderfully fragrant, high-quality soap that makes you smile at this little detail. It’s the kind of consistency that elevates the whole experience. But what truly sets Shoko apart is the spirit of its owner. A charismatic, warm-hearted woman, she opened this restaurant about a year ago — and you can feel that it’s her passion project. I’ll never forget arriving in drenched motorcycle gear one rainy day, expecting to feel awkward in such a beautiful place. Instead, she welcomed me with a warm smile and genuine kindness. That moment alone made me realize just how special this restaurant is. You can tell that every detail — from the dishes to the design, cleanliness, and service — is infused with energy, love and care. And it shows. Shoko Brunch & Bar isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a real experience, one that makes you want to keep coming back. I’m already looking forward to my next visits and excited to see how this beautiful restaurant continues to grow and thrive. Treat yourself and make the trip. It’s absolutely worth it.

I accidentally found this amazing place. The owner Leena was so warm welcoming and super friendly. I had their popular lava chocolate pancakes. The portion was so generous and it was super delicious. I felt one of those cafe's i went in London. Super thanks for bringing a London vibe. Service was amazing. I can definitely recommend this place for brunch or a coffee.

A wonderful spot with an excellent selection of wines by the glass and beautifully crafted cocktails. The Porn Star Martini was absolutely fantastic, and the whole experience was elevated by the stylish, elegant setting. A place I always happily return to.
