Schloss Spiez — Schlossstrasse 16, 3700 Spiez, Switzerland

Cooles kleines Schloss und Gelände. Der Höhepunkt war der Turm, dessen Aufstieg sich lohnte, um die Aussicht auf den See zu genießen. Viele Artefakte und Räume zu sehen. Unsere Gruppe probierte den Weißwein aus dem eigenen Weingut mit knusprigen Snacks. Als wir dort waren, fand in der Kirche und auf dem Gelände eine Hochzeit statt.

Also total super cool. Das Gelände selbst ist sehr schön, also gehen Sie so viel wie möglich herum. Und dann kommen Sie ins Museum und erwarten eine weitere triste Sammlung langweiliger Artefakte, aber NICHT hier. Das Layout und die bereitgestellten Informationen sind äußerst interessant. Jeder Ausstellungsbereich ist gut durchdacht und enthält detaillierte Beschreibungen der Geschichte und des Lebensstils der Bewohner im Laufe der Jahrhunderte. Und der Aufstieg nach oben hält einige coole Überraschungen für alle Altersgruppen bereit – obwohl die oberen Stockwerke nichts für Schüchterne sind.

Fantastischer Ort für einen Besuch. Die Lage bietet zudem einen tollen Blick auf den See und die Berge. Der Parkplatz ist eng und kann schnell voll sein. Es handelt sich um einen kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz.

The views from the castle grounds are amazing, a lot of opportunities for nice pictures. There's free access to the castle grounds, restaurant, castle gift shop and the bell tower (don't miss it)

Schloss Spiez might have been my favorite castle we visited in Switzerland. The views from inside the castle tower looking out over the church and mountains and lake are absolutely magical! We were there on a bright sunny day with the sparkling blue water full of sailboats and parasails. It was so beautiful you had to pinch yourself to make sure you weren’t dreaming. I would not miss seeing this castle. It’s a little off the beaten path, and those are the places I love the most. It’s full of history and intrigue. You can even try on period clothing and knight’s armor, and try out a bed the servants would have used. We did not get to tour the church, as there was a wedding in progress. Which was also incredible to watch the guests in their finery walking from the castle to the church.
