Haldimann + Schärer AG — Bützbergstrasse 2c, 4912 Aarwangen, Switzerland

I debated for a long time whether or not to write a review. But we feel unfairly treated. That's why this one-star review is the only one we're giving. We bought a newly built apartment in Aarwangen, which isn't so new anymore, but still not even 10 years old. Unfortunately, our interior walls are damp, and the tiles in the stairwell weren't laid properly. We hired an expert, and his diagnosis is that the water seals were either forgotten or simply not installed. This means the water has free rein. Mr. Schärer also came to our home; in his opinion, we're not ventilating properly, hence the water damage (this is why he's giving us this rating). Of course, he's not accepting any liability and isn't contributing to the damage, BUT HE'S NOT CHARGING US ANYTHING BECAUSE HE JUST INSIDE! The entire building (5 owners) currently has approximately CHF 23,000 in damages. Unfortunately, we have to pay for everything ourselves because the five-year warranty period (for hidden defects) has expired.
