I'm so glad we still have a village shop where almost everyone knows each other. The staff are always very friendly and nice. I love our Volg. Thank you for being there. 🙂
Reopening on March 4, 2022 A modern and beautiful village shop right in the heart of the village. The Volg branch has a fresh, modern design. The product range has also been expanded. The bread from Albis Bakery is absolutely delicious. It's simply a pleasure to shop there. Go!
It has everything you need. Like Volg stores in general, it's a bit more expensive. But they have the best sandwiches, tarts, and Bircher muesli (from AlbisBeck Mettmenstetten). I'm happy to pay a little more for that.
This renovation was necessary after about 35 years! As is generally known, Volg isn't cheap, but it's had the same staff for years, which I really appreciate. Volg could improve even further if it stocked at least 50% organic products. "Fresh and friendly" is Volg's advertising slogan... yes, definitely friendly, but fresh means "untreated" to me. Therefore, I will continue to only shop at Volg for what I need, unfortunately!
