Top place for fondue and raclette cheese. Don't worry for the fondue, you can buy their own fully prepared mixture including maizena and wine. Besides the well-known "moitié moitié" they have various special fondue preparation. The raclette choice is outstanding and of high quality. Service is very friendly and professional.

The cheese shop "Stöckli Chäs" is truly the place to go in the area for every cheese lover. The business has been family run for decades and this shop has always been the place to find a very large selection of high quality cheese. Everyone can find their cheese here, whether mild, subtle, matured or fresh, soft or hard, everything is available here in different variations. The raclette and fondue selection is also commendable. The owners have even gone one step further and placed a vending machine in front of the shop so that you can still buy your delicious fondue even at closing time. Of course, the quality of the cheese has its price, therefore you have to reckon with paying a higher price for a product that can be found cheaper in a supermarket. Nevertheless, the premium is worth it and once you've had the chance to delight your palate, you won't be wanting anything else. The staff is very nice and helpful. There are not too many parking spaces, however, you can take one of the many parking spaces right next door for a short detour. I would recommend this little gem of a shop to any tourist visiting Switzerland and wanting to discover the world of cheese. Absolutely recommendable!

Absolutely the most helpful and refined cheese shop this side of heaven. Always great advice, very generous tastings before you buy, and rare and curated cheeses. This is the place we learned that a “Gruyère is not always Gruyère”, Because until you’ve tasted their home cellar aged version, you realise you’ve been missing out your whole life.
