We had a breakdown on the side of the Swiss motorway, and a young man in a company car stopped to check on us and give us a chilled bottle of water, having seen that we also had a baby with us. Kik, the owner, is very professional, courteous, and always has helpful advice. He's consistently supportive, thinks outside the box, and has a lot of patience with a lay architect/project manager/assistant and "stupid questioner" like myself. It was a pleasure to plan the flooring replacement from carpet/parquet to new parquet throughout the entire house (7 rooms and stair treads) together with him, the parquet supplier Bauwerk via Swissparkett, the painting company Maler Meier (Mettmenstetten) – ceilings and walls – and the plastering company Mabu (Obfelden) – replastering the living room. None of the three had worked together before, but they coordinated so well with little to no "interference" from me that all the work was completed on time or even ahead of schedule. Kik deserves great thanks and praise for this, as he made a significant contribution by being on-site at the right time with sufficient staff and specialists. It was a pleasure to plan the project, as he was punctual, on-site at the right time, and with enough personnel and specialists. Regarding cleanliness and precision of workmanship, I can only report positive experiences. In our case, in addition to the floor, a parapet and a wardrobe back panel were also made from the parquet. Once the wardrobe side panels are installed, the master craftsman will also add parquet shelves. All in all, I am very satisfied to date, and we have been enjoying our beautiful, clean, and sapwood-free oak parquet floor throughout the entire house for weeks now, having moved in a week early! If you want to make him and his team happy, let them do their job and provide chilled Red Bull, electricity, and a parking space near the site :-).
