After an awful experience with another ski school in Andermatt on the very first day of our one-week family ski holiday, Peter and the team at Alpine Sports completely turned things around for us. We had booked private lessons from Monday to Friday with another school, but they refused to teach our children because of their level. Feeling stressed and worried that our trip would be ruined, I reached out to Peter — and from the first moment he was incredibly welcoming, understanding, and solution-oriented. He made sure our time in Andermatt was not wasted and quickly arranged the perfect instructor for our kids. Ruben was absolutely fantastic — fun, patient, and highly skilled. Our children (8 and 6) loved every minute with him. By the final day, they were not only visibly improved in their skiing, but they also asked Ruben if he could be their instructor again next year — which says everything. Seeing their happiness and progress made all the initial stress and extra cost completely worth it. We are incredibly grateful to Peter, Ruben, and the Alpine Sports team for saving our holiday and creating such a positive, memorable experience for our family. A business that truly puts its clients’ interests first is the kind of business people return to again and again — and that will absolutely be the case for us. A huge thank you to Peter and his team for an absolute amazing experience. From the very beginning - including our email communication before arrival- everything was organised , staff were helpful , welcoming, professional and went over and beyond to make it unforgettable experience. That great first impression only grew once we arrived. The experience truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Andermatt as a ski resort is spectacular with breathtaking mountains and conditions. The whole experience was so good that our 1 day ski experience extended to 2 days! Booking was simple via email, and Peter had everything sorted quickly and easily before we even arrived in Andermatt. From start to finish, my son’s ski lesson exceeded expectations. Pol was our instructor, and he took the time to assess my son’s ability, set clear goals, and used a calm, positive approach that built both skill and confidence. The lesson was perfectly balanced between technique, safety, and fun. By the end, my son was linking turns, skiing some parallel, and genuinely smiling the whole time. This was the first time my 7-year-old had skied on the mountains. Although he had a few lessons in the UK beforehand, by the end of his time with Pol he was confidently skiing red slopes — purely thanks to Pol’s excellent teaching and confidence-building approach. Pol is an amazing instructor with a calm, kind nature. He was incredibly encouraging and helpful, even carrying our skis from the shop and making the whole experience seamless and stress-free. We really appreciated how clearly he explained progress and how safely he worked within the level we were comfortable with. If you have children, Pol is outstanding, and I would highly recommend him. Incredible First Ski Experience – A Huge Thank You to Alpine Sports Andermatt! We stayed 2 nights in Andermatt and arrived with one main goal: to try skiing for the first time. Unfortunately, we were initially told by our hotel that there was only one ski school available. When we visited that school on our first morning, it turned out to be closed. You can imagine how disappointed we were — thinking our entire skiing dream was over before it even began. We spent the whole first day wandering around town, trying to make peace with the idea that we might leave without skiing at all. Then, by sheer luck, we came across Alpine Sports Andermatt in the late afternoon — and that completely turned our trip around. We were greeted so warmly by Peter, who went above and beyond despite our tight schedule and limited time left. He made everything possible for us: • Arranged hotel pick-up and drop-off the next morning • Sorted out all our ski equipment rentals • Scheduled a 2-hour lesson with the most wonderful instructor, Meta • Ensured we got back right on time to catch our noon train to our next destination Peter was incredibly kind, proactive, and genuinely cared about creating a great experience for us. Meta was patient, encouraging, and made our first time on the slopes both fun and confidence-boosting. They truly turned what could have been a disappointing trip into one of the best highlights of our Switzerland holiday. We are so grateful to Peter, Meta, and the entire Alpine team for their hospitality, professionalism, and warmth. Peter even offered help for the rest of our travels in Switzerland — such amazing service. We would highly recommend Alpine Sports Andermatt to anyone visiting Andermatt and wanting to ski — whether you’re a total beginner like us or otherwise. We’ll definitely be back again next time!

I spontaneously had an hour's ski lesson with Martin from Alpine Sports Andermatt and am SO thankful to him. He was fantastic and spotted immediately several things I was doing wrong (I've just come back to skiing after a 20-year break...). He helped me to fix them with some drills, advised me competently on ski length/hire and was very patient, relaxed and supportive. The Alpine Sports ski school itself was also very flexible, helping to arrange payment remotely without any trouble. I understand it's a very international school with lots of ski instructors who speak different languages (Martin's English was perfect). I will definitely book another longer lesson when I go back to Andermatt in a couple of weeks. Many thanks!
