Maison de la Tête de Moine — Le Domaine 1, Bellelay, L'Auberge 154, 2713 Saicourt, Switzerland

Went on a Sunday morning and it was not too crowded despite the bad weather. The museum is small but if you do it properly with the provided tablet, it’ll an hour with a 3 year old kid. Learned few things myself so it was quite interesting. You can taste and obviously purchase cheese and accessories, which we did!

This is the place where the original cheese Tête de Moine is produced. There is a rich choice of this and other cheeses in their shop selling an excellent assortment of regional products and where you can sip a glass or have a small bite in- or outside. Just nearby there is the possibility to educate yourself and your children in the life of dragonflies along an organized path. If you don't have the courage to look for these insects you can admire the giant hay statues set up each year in front of the main building.

Great little museum upstairs with a lovely cafe for aperitifs downstairs. Tête de Moin is my favorite cheese, hands down!

A must visit authentic cheese museum! Try the cheese plater at the restaurant downstairs! They also have cute souvenirs with reasonable prices.
