We had a lovely, quiet, and cosy stay at The Derby. As first-timers with a self check-in system, we were pleasantly surprised by how helpful the team was — they assisted us every step of the way, from reservation to check-in. Everything went smoothly, and our room was comfortable with a nice mountain view. The air conditioning worked well, and breakfast was very nice. We were even greeted by the hotel cat, who came by for some head butts and rubs! The hotel kindly allowed us to store our luggage after check-out while we explored for the day. A peaceful spot, tucked away from the hustle and bustle yet conveniently located.
A very pleasant stay at Hotel Derby in Interlaken From the very beginning, the service was impeccable and the staff were always attentive, friendly, and willing to help with anything we needed. You can tell they genuinely care about the guests’ well-being, and that makes all the difference. The location is perfect for exploring Interlaken and the surrounding area, and the atmosphere in the hotel is cozy and peaceful. The only small downside I found were the pillows, which felt a bit uncomfortable at first — but once you get used to them, they’re actually quite fine. All in all, a highly recommended place to stay if you're visiting Interlaken. I’d definitely come back. By the way, we were left wondering what the cat’s name is — could you tell us?
Location is great, bed was also good. We enjoy the breakfast too. Would definitely recommend it.
I had a terrible stay and can’t believe this hotel carries a 3-star rating — it deserves 1 at best. Don’t be fooled by the cheaper price. It’s essentially self-service: no reception, just a local phone number that may or may not answer in …
The rooms were great! There is a small charming garden in the property which was very soothing. The breakfast buffet is very tasty with variety of choices. Be sure to not loose the room keys as they are wooden and the owner takes pride in being environmental conscious which is very refreshing!!
Perhaps I had higher expectations for the price but the rooms were smaller than I thought and a bit tired looking. You’re paying for the location though which is very central. There’s also limited parking available. Otherwise, all was good, clean throughout and good breakfast.
