We took the scenic train from Brienz up to Planalp, and it was absolutely beautiful. The route winds through lush forests, alpine meadows, and tunnels — every turn offers a stunning panorama. On the way up, the views are absolutely breathtaking: as you climb higher, you see Lake Brienz below and the surrounding peaks.If possible, try to sit on the side facing the lake — you’ll get the most spectacular views.
📍 Brienz Train Station – Bernese Oberland, Switzerland 🇨🇭 We took the train from 📍 Wilderwil to Brienz 🚆 and it was a smooth, scenic ride with beautiful views along the way 🌄. From the station it was just a short walk to the ferry pier ⛴️, where we continued our journey across Lake Brienz 🌊. Very convenient connection, clean station, and easy transfers—perfect for combining rail and boat travel in the Bernese Oberland. 🙌
Every train stations arround Interlaken are beautiful including Brienz. The Station serve some Train including Panaroma Train between Luzern-Interlaken . Its also located just on the other side of Rothorn train station and also bus station to some villages or place nearby as well as the Brienz Harbour. The view of Lake Brienz and Axalp from this Station are awesome! While waiting for the train you might hear and see the military jet do some manuver as Merringen Military airport just few minute away. The Train station is clean,with toilet, train ticket vending machine availabe at working hour there also the information office.
Ideal starting point for the Brienz–Rothorn Bahn! The station is clean and well-organised, with clear directions and helpful staff. Boarding was smooth and timed well with the steam train departure. A convenient and charming gateway to the mountain adventure.
Beautiful Train station with WC facilities. Station has beautiful view of river Brienz. Boat ride from Brienz to Interlaken with 4 stops in between. Beautiful views from train as well as Brien. Really worth a visit ..
