We had one of the most pleasant stay experience in this jem of historical hotel. The staff was attentive, present, benevolent, caring, everything was soothing. The 4 dishes menu at the Parkrestaurant was delicious, we had dinner twice. We felt there was a general mindset of making everyone comfortable ... of course all this has a cost, but we were happy to contribute to the maintenance of one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland. All our gratitude goes to the humanistic commitment of Mr Weber and nowadays Mrs Weber who saved this place from demolition and strive to maintain it as pure and authentic so that all future generations can enjoy the magical universal spirit all the place, the building itself and the spectacular waterfalls and nature around. Thank you for this unforgettable moments
Step back in time when you enter the restaurant in this beautifully preserved hotel from the belle époque. You can enjoy a lunch here with a stunning view of the Giessbach waterfall followed by a coffee on the terrace with panoramic views over the Brienzersee and the mountains. The menu is rather limited, the food average and overpriced but the whole setting and the friendly service make it an unforgettable experience.
A good restaurant where you can grab a bite next to a gorgeous waterfall and a gorgeous lake. It is near Interlaken on the way to Luzerne, and even thought the food is not perfect, the whole setting with the surroundings is just breathtaking. A perfect spot to stop during a hike in the Swiss mountains.
I stayed at the hotel for a couple nights and had dinner here. The restaurant has an excellent atmosphere in front of the waterfall. The foods were decent and service is good.
First of all this is one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland, however....the service, food selection and atmosphere has degraded to the point that at best, it is little more than an American burger joint experience masquerading as the high quality Swiss cuisine that it once was. It has all the high prices that would justify something nice, but none of the service. You can expect to seat yourself and have the dirty dishes from the prior client there in front of you for your entire meal unless you hijack a waiter that is passing by and physically put it on their tray. You have to go up and wait in line like a fast food joint and pay for the food before it is delivered. You drinks will be ready to be served and sit at the bar for 15mins, your food will be delivered uncooked and not be very good. They only have a handful of ketchup bottle and they are SHARED among clients, so when the table at the other end of the restaurant wants ketchup, the waiter will come and take your bottle away.Do not waste your money on this place. Enjoy the view, save your funds and pack a picnic!
I stayed at the hotel and ate here for dinner. The meal was delicious and the service was very attentive. It cost about 80 CHF for one person.
