This was one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming to us as tourists. We were not offered a menu and nobody asked what we would like to order. Instead, they simply brought us a fondue without any explanation or choice, which already felt very strange and unprofessional. Later we wanted to order a steak and a bottle of wine, but the waiter reacted in a very annoyed and dismissive way. After ordering the wine, we had to wait about 30 minutes while the waiter spent time talking to other guests. During this time he was also openly discussing us with other people in the restaurant in their local language, clearly complaining about us and making it obvious that new tourists were not welcome there. The food itself was also disappointing. The fondue was extremely greasy with far too much oil. When we ordered potatoes, they were undercooked and far from what you would expect from a proper restaurant. When the steak finally arrived, it was very large and we wanted to share it between two people. However, they only brought one knife. When my friend stood up to take another knife himself, the waiter started complaining and again began talking negatively about us with other guests. The behavior of the staff was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. The whole atmosphere made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. I absolutely do not recommend this place, especially for tourists. There are many better restaurants in the area where guests are actually treated with respect.

Nice cozy restaurant specialising in horse meat. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. Worth trying if you’re in the area.

A very fair price for generous portions on the outskirts of Lucerne. This is a particular restaurant situated in what looks like a house. At ground floor level your find a pub and it's also a smoking area. You may eat there but if you ask, you'd be taken to another room which is no smoking. The staff is friendly but make sure you have Google translate with you if you can't speak German 🙂
