We were there last week and bought various meat products. The meatloaf, at a very reasonable 4.50 CHF, was extremely delicious. The service made the shopping experience even better with very friendly and knowledgeable advice. We will definitely be back. Keep up the good work!
Everything is twice as expensive as it was in Lüthi Portmann's day. The selection is half as big. Now it's cheaper to buy pork neck at CC or Lidl. It's a shame, and the friendly staff is gone too. Times are changing, and there are hardly any customers to be found. No wonder. July 9, 2024 addendum: After some customers left negative reviews, 5 positive reviews appeared. But anyone who looks closely can see that these are related to the company or that the reviews were left even though the person is in Albania. That's customer-friendly 👍
The selection is like a bazaar… At the entrance, there are Appenzeller Biber (a type of gingerbread), Zweifel chips, etc. Inside, to the right, is cheese… then meat is haphazardly laid out, with a variety nowhere near what was offered before… Prices are way higher than they used to be. For example? Pork loin… Previously €14-16 per kilo Now €27 per kilo We won't be coming back…
The once wide variety of barbecue products has now almost completely disappeared, and there is virtually no significant selection left. It's also worth mentioning that prices have risen noticeably and opening hours have been drastically reduced.
