Restaurant Platten — Plattenweg 1, 6442 Gersau, Switzerland

One of the best restaurants we have eaten in Switzerland (and we travel to Switzerland a few times a year)! The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. The restaurant over look the lake and was so beautiful. It’s a bit of a hike or drive to get up here but there’s parking and the view was worth it.

This place is simply amazing! The owners stopped by and shared their story with us. This was some of the best food we've had during our stay in Switzerland and we traveled about 1000km in total. The parking is a bit tight in this area but we had a reserved spot because we were staying in a nearby apartment. I can highly recommend visiting this place, for the food and for the views!

Amazing views, great food and really fresh. You can drive here as there is sufficient parking. The walk from the pier takes about 30min. There is also a bus but you might have to wait 20min and after lunch it first leaves again at 15.45h as the bus takes a 2 hour lunch break from 13.30-15.30h

Visited this restaurant twice. The first time, the food was average Swiss dishes. The second time, they had a BBQ thing going on, which was a refreshing change. The staff is always very friendly and service fast. They have coloring-in and pencils for kids, and we didn't even need to ask for it.
