I used the online boat theory exam course to prepare for the theory exam (Cat A & D). I found the course materials and question bank very helpful and passed the theory exam the first time. Highly recommended!

The online tool from BoatDriver GmbH is the best available resource in English available in Switzerland! I tried 2 other tools and they were no where near as good as the BoatDriver tool. It is by far the best! I passed the exam with 179/180! I would highly, highly recommend for anyone wishing to study for the theoretical boat exam in English! Plus Niels was super helpful!
I bought an app for 100 CHF that was extremely difficult to use at first. I spent a lot of time uninstalling and reinstalling it. My phone is a Samsung running Android, and all my other apps work fine. Meanwhile, I'll just have to manage by downloading and uninstalling their app every time I want to study. The technical support response: Use your browser if the app doesn't work! Furthermore, they advertise something bordering on falsehood, making you believe they're offering a discount of "up to" 100 CHF. And wouldn't you know it, it's only 50 CHF at my school. But you only find that out after you've paid for the course! And to top it all off: I received the book in German, so forget about taking the French version on vacation... After a lot of trouble, everything was sorted out, but it wasn't easy. That's why I've increased my rating from one star to three. But frankly, I make much simpler purchases than this. Anyway, the story has a happy ending; I received the book in French the next day (just before I left for vacation).
I bought the BOATDRIVER offshore sailing license learning kit and learned everything myself. The support I received with questions and uncertainties was very professional and friendly! I passed the exam on the first try! Next, I'll buy the BOATDRIVER SRC (df) marine radio course. Thank you!
I was very satisfied with my SRC course with Boatdriver and passed the exam successfully. The team is very friendly and they answer questions. There are one or two translation errors between German and French, but nothing serious. I recommend them!
