Can’t say enough great things about Richard and Grindelwald Tours. My husband and I spent two days with Richard and it was wonderful! He customized our time together based on our interests and our needs. We saw beautiful sites we would not otherwise have seen and thoroughly enjoyed our time together. We had perfect weather for our day exploring the Lauterbrunnen/ Murren/Schilthorn area, but had to get a bit creative with our 2nd day in the Grindelwald/ Mannelichen area based on weather. Richard made it work! We left the Jungfrau region with a true appreciation for the unique beauty and charm of the Alps. Our family tour in Grindelwald with Richard was truly wonderful. He understood our needs and planned the day perfectly, while staying flexible whenever we wanted to adjust something. The viewpoints, cozy cafés, and easy hiking trails he suggested were just right for our family. He also captured some beautiful photos for us along the way. Having Richard as our guide for our family tour of the Grindelwald area was a fantastic experience. He was incredibly attentive to our needs and was flexible in adapting our plans throughout the day. With so many options to suit our family's preferences and timing, we felt like we could make the most of our adventure. Richard shared valuable insights on great spots to explore, delightful cafes & places to grab snacks for our meals, and scenic trails for our hikes. He also doubles as a photographer for your group! I took the one hour walking tour with RIchard who was kind enough to meet me at Grindelward railway station. The tour in itself was fascinating as it took me to areas away from the tourist hangouts and into the real scenic part of Grindelwald. It was a loop around the outer part of town, not easy to find if one is not a local. On this loop I was able to see first hand the scenic areas of town as well as stunning views of Mount Eiger, as well as flowers and even cows. A decent walking tour is hardly available in the Bernese Oberland and if you find one the prices are exorbitant. Richard's one hour tour is about someone who enjoys what he does apart from earning a living. The one hour tour costs CHF 65 - the walk apart from being scenic and exploring Grindelwald in a hour is also a good fitness hike. It was a private tour in all sense of the word-just Richard and me. Can one ask for more? It is not just scenery etc., Richard has an engaging and pleasant personality which made me feel at ease. I enclose some of the photos I took - the weather was excellent.
Our family had two days in Grindelwald and we wanted to make the most of them. We booked Richard for a tour. We asked him to show us the best of the best - and WOW he did. We had the most amazing, breathtaking, fun day imaginable. Richard was very knowledgeable about the area and when the day was done we felt like locals! Spent a couple of days in Grindelwald and had connected with Grindelwald Tours. They were amazing on communication, pick up, and all things navigation. It was amazing - some of the spots were gorgeous. Highly recommend to anyone!
