This local council's performance has been truly appalling. Since we moved to Hinwil, nothing has worked. We registered our change of address online. Hinwil, however, claimed this wasn't the case. Then we received an nasty letter demanding we register in person at the counter immediately and pay the fee again. After several phone calls, we were thankfully able to resolve this issue. A few weeks later, I received my voting materials, but my partner didn't. Instead, she received a provisional tax bill. Very nice. When we contacted the residents' services, they told me they couldn't tell me, due to data protection regulations, why my partner hadn't received her voting materials. She had to contact them herself. Once again, we have to deal with something that the Hinwil council should be handling. We're happy to pay our taxes here 🤭

Even online inquiries made via computer seem too complicated for employees to process. Add to that company outings (opening hours!) that aren't yet published online, which leads to closed doors. On top of that, everything takes forever.

The social services office is only open in the mornings. However, this is only stated on a note on the sliding door; there is no trace of it online.

The municipal administration is very unsympathetic and sad. Furthermore, the opening hours are very poor.
