In 2025, I gained experience in film development and fine art printing at Fotomedia. I rate both experiences highly. C41 films are usually developed within a couple of days — faster than at some other Swiss labs — and the negatives are always in excellent condition. This means they are properly dried and not curved, which is ideal for scanning or digitising with a camera. There are also no scratches, unlike with lower-quality labs. The development itself was spot on. Before entrusting them with my first film, I visited the lab in person, where they showed me all the fine art print papers and the various technologies they use. I found this helpful and straightforward. The fine art prints were consistent and were delivered to me by post in a secure package. The prints inside were fixed very well, with great attention to detail. Fotomedia were also helpful during telephone conversations when I needed more information or wanted to know about delivery times. Overall, I was impressed by their professionalism — the most important thing for a photographer looking for a lab. Thanks and good luck!

swift and well performed delivery. They handled 2 rolls of lomography panorama pictures my first experience with Foto Media but all great, on forehand a question, quick reply, using the online tool and QR code makes it super easy to send in, track and communicate. they even refunded a substantial payment to me because my pictures weren't as much as i thought. so 5/5 !
I've used this business several times before and have always been very satisfied. However, with my last (rather large) order, several of my requests (including removing the date) were unfortunately not implemented. On a large (30 x 40 cm) image, it doesn't look very good when the date is still visible (pixelated). When I inquired about this, I was told it was my mistake and that I hadn't communicated it clearly enough. It's a shame, but I'll probably look for a different studio for future orders.
