I stayed in Lenk for two months in 2025 (mid April - mid June) and had an incredible time! Lenk, which is nestled in the Bernese Highlands region of the Swiss Alps, is one of the best places in the world to live. It's a peaceful, beautiful place with great hiking, friendly people and infinite bliss, I felt very comfortable there. I stayed in the Lischmatte A cabin and worked remotely for a US company. The best part about the experience is the Hubs community, everyone is absolutely wonderful. I met interesting, kind, adventurous people from around the world, most of whom I still keep in touch and plan travels with. The Spring 2025 edition was my second time doing the Lenk Hubs experience (I was in Lenk for the inaugural Fall 2023 edition), and I plan to return again soon this year. I really can't recommend this enough!
I was very lucky to get into the Hubs Lenk Switzerland Workation Spring 2025 edition, after having applied for the Fall 2024 edition, which had no vacancy. I had read about the Lenk Workation in summer of 2024 and thought it sounded perfect for my situation. I initially had some questions as things at Hubs are managed a bit differently than I was used to. It is not a book and pay situation, like some hotels/bookings, but more of an apply and someone will get back to you situation. A human will email you back, confirming if there is space and confirming accommodation type, which hotel might work best..eg a central hotel with shared workspace or a less central hotel without workspace (but you will access to workspace if want it, all included in price). But it is all for real and an amazing deal and community. Hubs makes arrangements with the local hotels who offer Hubs off-season rates. Hubs in Lenk offered amazing opportunity and community of travel minded individuals to connect with, through organized or spontaneously planned activities such as hiking, climbing, walking, jogging, local pool, and sauna, skiing, skating, tennis, boxing and tai kwon do classes, music, community dinners, sightseeing, etc with as much or as little participation as one would like. I stayed in Lenk in spring for 5 weeks and returned again in fall for 5 weeks. The views of the Alps from the rooms and everywhere in the village of Lenk is truly magical. The Swiss towns and cities easily accessible by train/bus from Lenk are a must see. Hubs makes this amazing opportunity not only affordable but provides an unforgettable experience. The people in each edition were great. Some were return guests but many were new. So many cool, and interesting people from all over the world. Cannot recommend enough, if you’re lucky enough to get in-apply early!!
Loved my month-long workation with Hubs in Lenk Im Simmental! This place is truly great if you’re looking to spend time in nature, go on walks and beautiful hikes in the Swiss alps, and take part in some typical local events with people from the Hubs community. I stayed in a really cozy chalet with views on the mountains. Hubs is dog-friendly, so I could bring along my dog on this workation, which is what ultimately sold it for me. To top it off, the locals and the people I’ve met through the community (owners, community managers, and participants) were all friendly, open-minded people that I got to know better while on hikes and community dinners, and it’s just been a great experience meeting all these awesome people while working remotely from Switzerland. I would highly recommend Hubs and the Lenk location for your next remote work-travel adventure!!
We didn’t know about Lenk before coming, and it turned out to be exactly what we were looking for: peaceful, surrounded by mountains, with great internet and everything we needed to work comfortably. Hubs.Travel was a true discovery. Andy, the director, was incredibly kind and helped us with everything — from the booking and schedule changes to great local recommendations. You can tell he really cares about every guest’s experience. My wife and I have been traveling and working as digital nomads all year, and this has been our best stay so far. We’ve already recommended it to friends and are definitely planning to come back next year. I’ll be posting some photos of our view and one of the hikes we did — the place truly deserves it!
My goals for 2025 was to meet smarter, younger and more international people personally than what I experience in the Danish corporate world as the stereotypical 50 years old white male. I love the mountains, I love the impulsive fire side chats, I love different perspectives, movie nights, boxing sessions, tennis trainings, yoga classes, paragliding weekends , spa, swim, bowling and ping pong events. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to wake up inside a postcard, this place is your answer. Snow-capped peaks outside the window, forests and cows. Lots of cows. It’s basically a romantic comedy setting, minus the awkward meet-cute, because the community is top. It’s like Airbnb, Burning Man and a TED Conference mixed together in the most beautoful scenery imaginable. The best part? It’s shockingly affordable and flexible. You can stay for 2 weeks, a month, or 4 months and learn all the local cows' names. I came for the view, stayed for the vibe, and defo will be coming back. 5 stars — because there’s no button for “accidentally joined the perfect community and it ain't the illuminati (or is it).”
