Aussichtspunkt Chälrütirank — Brünigstrasse, 6078 Lungern, Switzerland

Such a beautiful surprise spot with amazing views over Lungern and the lake. A perfect, quick break on the Brünigpass drive to soak up the Bernese Alps . It's easy to reach and there's no parking slot, visitors just parked the car along the road.

Excellent views of the Eiger. Well placed and a great eatery. The Alpine garden was lovely (not accessible for wheelchairs or people needing sticks though the restaurant is. fold up wheels chairs can be put on the train though a bit of a push up and incline on a well paved surface .). Got some lovely walks some long and some short. Pictures are put up to help you see where and what to see.

I cannot understand why people give 5 starts to this place. It’s terrible! First of all, it’s not a lake, it’s a reservoir. Also, in Switzerland there are astonishing lakes and mountains and compare to what you can see in the country, this is nothing! Totally not worth it. The map shows the mountains in Grindelwald region (Eiger, Jungfrau, etc), but you cannot see them from there, they are left behind. I would never recommend to go to this place on purpose, and I will never come back there.

Our favorite place! Our huskies had a lovely time too! Everything is so beautiful, an fantastic lake, the best spot for having a picnic 😊😊😊😊🍂 During our road trip, we stopped at the lake. We had a lovely hike and took those beautiful pictures. We will definitely be back, I’d say when it snows 😊

Beautiful overlook of Lungern and the lake. Can see the the mountains with waterfall on the left past Obsee on the middle to Lungern on the right. Water level was low in April, but still a great view. Small tree saplings need trimmed so as to not take over the view and block it in the future.
