A haven of well-being for people, animals, and nature – Biseggmatte is the epitome of this. A biodynamic farm that has earned the KAGFreiland label, the most animal-friendly organic certification. Whether it's the lovingly furnished farm shop, the encounters with the happy farm animals, the greetings from the adorable dogs, or the warmhearted nature of farm mom Vreni, who is never at a loss for words. In short – a place of encounter, perhaps even a place of strength, for nature lovers who care deeply about animal welfare. It's wonderful that there are still people for whom profitability isn't the primary focus, and for whom all family members work outside the home to keep this little gem alive. This year, my family and I had the pleasure of enjoying the August 1st brunch. Beautifully decorated, delicious, healthy organic food, lovely folk music – I'd love to come again.

We attended the August 1st brunch on the farm in 2025. It was a rather small, but very cozy event with lots of great people. We didn't try everything on offer, but what we did have was absolutely delicious. The farm is beautifully situated and easy to find. We met a super friendly and welcoming farm team with perfectly coordinated tasks. Questions about the farm and daily operations were gladly answered and explained. The animals are clearly very well cared for. They have nicely furnished enclosures and some of them even enjoy being petted. We will definitely come back again.

A very welcoming, family atmosphere; the August 1st brunch was truly fantastic, and the value for money was perfect. Plenty of food and drinks. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Everything was prepared with loving attention to detail. You could look around the farm and feel the love for the animals as well as the love the animals have for people. I'd love to come back again next year. ❤️

A wellness oasis like no other. Look at the various animals, talk to the farm operators, and maybe buy some meat if you're lucky enough to have one of Switzerland's few on-farm slaughters. Simply a gem.

August 1st Brunch 2025 Unfortunately, the brunch fell far short of our expectations. I'm a slow eater...and after two slices of bread, a little cheese, butter and jam, one apricot, and one plum, I wanted to get something more. Unfortunately, there was no more cheese left...and the yogurt was almost gone too...(There was still plenty of meat...but I hardly eat any of it...) I then ate one slice of braided bread...and that was it...and all for 50 CHF!!! (Everyone at the table thought the rösti was too greasy...I didn't want it either.) It's a shame...that the whole experience was so negative for all of us at the table.... (Perhaps it would be good if a fan could keep the many flies away a bit while we were eating at the buffet next time.)
