Unfriendly welcome for buyers and unprofessional advertising impression, would not recommend...
The co-owner, Mr. Gasser, is extremely unfriendly and aggressive. When things don't go his way, he yells (he's a grown man of about 80!). It would probably be better if he retired.
During an apartment handover with Gasser, Wepf & Partner, we, as long-term tenants, experienced what we considered borderline behavior on Mr. Wepf's part. The communication was confrontational, at times involving physical proximity, which we found intimidating. Despite significant investment in the apartment, demands were made that we could not understand. The situation was also visibly irritating to third parties (tenants' rights association, cleaning company). The gentleman from the homeowners' association whom Mr. Wepf brought in was apparently friendly and, unfortunately, anything but neutral. We recommend that tenants seek professional support during handovers with this company.
In our case, €600 was simply withheld from the security deposit for potential additional utility costs. Several times, more than six months after moving out, I tried to obtain a utility bill. I finally received a response stating that the company has up to five years to provide the utility bill! We lived in an apartment where we had the underfloor heating valves completely turned off and still had a temperature of 26 degrees Celsius even in winter, with the windows open. Unfortunately, the landlord wasn't interested in addressing this problem. Now we're still waiting for the utility bill, and I wouldn't be surprised if something else arrives. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company to any landlords!
They fail to meet their own obligations for years (!), yet then threaten a family with small children with eviction because the garden "doesn't look like it did 12 years ago" and "the neighbors' (pensioners with no trees) garden is nicer." Highly unprofessional and morally indefensible.
Thank you, Ms. Birrer, for the excellent service!
