Münsingen
3110 Münsingen, Switzerland, Münsingen
Great train station in the Swabian Alb. The staff there are really very helpful. The station building, in my opinion, has been beautifully restored—it almost couldn't be better! I would love to take a nostalgic train ride there sometime!
The infrastructure is generally okay, but cleanliness in and around the train station leaves much to be desired. Connections after 7 p.m. are disastrous for a town the size of Münsingen! The trains are also frequently delayed, and the RegioExpress is practically a lottery, as it regularly gets cancelled due to a train malfunction. It's better to take the earlier, slower train if you want to be sure of making your connection in Bern.
The train station isn't particularly attractive, but the new bus station and the small supermarket are well done. The station suits Münsingen perfectly and doesn't need to be any bigger or smaller. However, it could definitely use a few more seats.
Münsingen is compact and friendly... Buses, train, Migros, Coop... Everything easily accessible... Restaurants, boutiques, parking, underground car parks, car wash, Pronto gas station, Otto's... Highway, swimming pool... Everything close together... What more could you want?
Münsingen has a beautiful old town...some houses date back to 1370...I take violin lessons in Münsingen.... And I like it.
Lots of roadworks on the main road with long detours...
