What an incredible experience at Jenni Alfred Märit Hüsli! We made a special stop here and it was absolutely worth every minute. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming - they took the time to share the history and craftsmanship behind their beautiful pieces. Getting to see their workshop was such a treat! It was fascinating to witness the traditional techniques and attention to detail that goes into creating these authentic garments. We purchased some shirts and hats, and the quality is simply outstanding. You can immediately tell these are genuine, authentic pieces made with real care and expertise - not mass-produced items. The craftsmanship is evident in every stitch, and the materials feel wonderfully traditional and well-made. This is exactly the kind of authentic local experience that makes traveling so special. If you're in the Meiringen area and appreciate traditional Swiss clothing and craftsmanship, this is an absolute must-visit. The combination of friendly service, authentic products, and the chance to see the workshop in action makes this place truly special. Highly recommend supporting this wonderful local business!
I love Märithüsli 🇨🇭👍 …
Märithüsli has a stall at the Frauenfeld Christmas market. They have very nice souvenir stalls.
Too bad! I ordered a gift-wrapped item from you, with super funny wrapping paper. And I happily paid over 6 francs just for this gift wrapping. The package arrived with anything but loving, let alone skillfully, wrapping. It had holes in the paper, was crumpled, had a cheap plastic ribbon, and lots of adhesive tape, etc. The item wasn't folded properly either. That's a really easy way to make beautiful items unattractive. I'm now wondering if the item was also sloppily made? I can't expect anyone to give that as a gift, and certainly not a business partner. In conclusion... I'm annoyed, disappointed, I can unwrap everything, get some good new wrapping paper, and wrap it properly... My advice to you... if you offer gift wrapping and charge that much for it, do it properly and skillfully—or better yet, don't bother.
Yesterday I went to her shop with my daughter-in-law and a friend. I bought two blouses (one long-sleeved pink and one short-sleeved white) and a scarf. We received very friendly and competent service. The fabric is truly first-class. The shop isn't cluttered and offers a great selection. The best part: "Not Made in China" 😂
A wonderful little shop with clothing made from hand-woven fabrics with Edelweiss motifs in various colors. They also now offer a wide selection of children's clothing and accessories, many featuring the same Edelweiss motif. Once again, I couldn't resist the temptation of a beautiful shirt. Covid-19 measures in style (for example, face masks, see photo :-)
