The Chruezhutte is a fantastic location in the mountains above Wolfenschiessen. Access is possible in various ways, with three cable cars, one of which goes directly to the hut. The other two routes include a short hike (via Bannalpsee) or a longer hike (via the Sinsgau buirabahnli). Mrs. Schmitter is a warm and welcoming hostess and a wonderful cook. The rooms are basic, as you would expect from a mountain hut. Showers require 1-franc tokens.
Highly recommended. The host/family was very accommodating and always made sure we didn't go thirsty :).
We had a wonderful stay at Isabella's Chrüzhütte. The food was fantastic, the hosts incredibly welcoming, and the atmosphere is simply something you have to experience! You can enjoy the sunset on the mat, relax in the hammocks, cuddle with the cat and chicken, and then enjoy breakfast on the same dreamy terrace! A lot of heart and soul has gone into this hospitality with fresh, local products. We will definitely come back, next time to the adjoining restaurant: so cozy! ♥️ The hut is accessible by cable car (Chicken Road) Or on foot ;) Or partially by cable car (to Bannalpsee), then a 30-minute hike.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the stay especially pleasant. The dessert was simply delicious, and the latte macchiato was expertly prepared. The stunning view perfectly complemented the experience. Highly recommended!
