I saw absolutely no high-tech equipment on site. He treated me as if I had all the time in the world and talked my ear off for almost 20 minutes about a customer's repair problem. During this time, my feeling worsened, and I would never have entrusted him with my car's control unit. Without a proper examination, he wanted free rein regarding the repair and quoted me a guideline price of CHF 2,500. He gave me a completely unprofessional impression. For briefly opening the device, including the completely unnecessary scratching of the circuit board in an unused area, he then wanted CHF 20. Even though I obviously didn't use his services and therefore can't judge the repair result, I absolutely cannot recommend him. In the meantime, I had the device repaired by a company in Ruswil in the canton of Lucerne. Replacing seven electrolytic capacitors, repairing/reinforcing defective circuit traces, and protecting them from corrosion, including returning the device to me, cost CHF 225.
Highly competent and friendly. My device has been working longer since the Hightech Service overhaul than it did originally from the manufacturer! I highly recommend them.
Electronics Doctor Without Borders. Can salvage many things that retailers or manufacturers have already hopelessly rejected. In my case, it was a CRT from the 90s with defective capacitors.
