I had the privilege of attending an open house event at the European Biostasis Foundation (EBF) in Basel, Switzerland. The experience was nothing short of enlightening and inspiring. From the moment I stepped into their state-of-the-art facility, I was greeted by a team of amicable professionals who were more than willing to share their profound knowledge and the groundbreaking work they are engaged in. The event commenced with a series of talks and medical presentations that were not only informative but also captivating. The speakers were highly knowledgeable and presented complex topics in a manner that was easy to grasp. The depth of research and the potential impact of their work in the field of biostasis, cryobiology, and biopreservation is truly remarkable. Following the presentations, we were taken on a guided tour of the facility. I was particularly impressed by the modern infrastructure and the cutting-edge technology employed in their laboratories. The underground storage area, where they store patients in a state of biostasis, showcased the meticulous care and the high standards maintained by the foundation. Moreover, the level of professionalism and the courteous nature of everyone involved made the experience even more enjoyable.
